As speculation intensifies, the Google Pixel 10 family is projected to be unveiled on August 20, with retail availability to follow shortly after. With more than a month until the official debut, leaks have begun circulating, disclosing details about the phone’s color options and storage configurations. This typical pre-launch activity is amplified in this case, given the Pixel’s reputation for high-profile leaks, including the listing of a prototype motherboard for sale.

Displayed on Goofish, the listing highlights the engineering motherboard for the Pixel 10, showcasing the Tensor G5 chip while obscuring serial numbers to conceal the leak’s source. The seller claims that this EVT 1.0 board is ‘guaranteed to boot,’ and it is being offered for ¥7777 (approximately $53). It’s essential to note that this listing is solely for the motherboard; potential buyers should have the necessary technical expertise to utilize EVT hardware effectively.

Recent listings on the same platform include low-resolution images of the Pixel 10’s back panel, adding credibility to the EVT motherboard’s authenticity. Alongside this, various other prototype devices and EVT motherboards are available, further supporting the notion that the Pixel 10 components are genuine.

The Tensor G5 is expected to be a highlight of this year’s Pixel 10 series. It is reportedly engineered on TSMC’s efficient 3nm process, similar to that used for Apple’s A18 Pro chip in the iPhone 16 Pro. This advancement is anticipated to significantly enhance power efficiency and thermal management, addressing concerns surrounding the previous Tensor chips. However, users should not anticipate a considerable performance upgrade, as Google appears to be retaining older CPU cores.

With weeks remaining until Google’s official announcement, more leaks about the Pixel 10 are likely to emerge in the near future.
